Post extraction healing, without socket preservation, can lead to bony defects, which can lead to compromised aesthetics and limit other treatment options.
Full Mouth Extractions
Full mouth extractions are performed in cases where most or all teeth require removal, often as a precursor to complete denture placement or full mouth reconstruction. This ensures a clean, healthy base for further restorative work. This procedure becomes necessary in order to preserve the patient’s overall health, when they present with extreme tooth decay or severe periodontal disease to the point where the teeth are no longer salvageable.
Alveoloplasty
Alveoloplasty is a surgical procedure to reshape and smooth the jawbone after teeth extraction, particularly in preparation for dentures. Alveoloplasty will allow for a more proper fitting and comfortable denture by avoiding irregular bone-healing that may leave a sharp and/or bumpy ridge for the dentures to sit on, thus resulting in fewer post-delivery adjustments.
Pre-Prosthetic Surgery
Pre-prosthetic surgery, including maxillary and mandibular tori removal, tuberosity reduction, frenectomy, and vestibuloplasty, prepares the mouth for dentures or other prosthetics, ensuring optimal fit and comfort.
Maxillary Tori Removal
