Our team uses cutting-edge technology and gentle, kid-friendly approaches to ensure a positive dental experience for your child. We are dedicated to nurturing young smiles, focusing on preventive care and early detection to lay the foundation for lifelong oral health.
Pediatric dental care is crucial for ensuring your child's oral health is on the right track from an early age. Regular check-ups help prevent cavities and tooth decay, which are common in children, and can quickly address any developing issues. Early dental visits also help establish good oral hygiene habits and familiarize your child with dental care, reducing anxiety and fear associated with dental visits.

We focus on maintaining your child's oral health through regular check-ups. Early detection and treatment of issues help keep your child's smile bright and healthy.
It is important for a child to receive regular professional cleanings, during which we use gentle measures to polish and clean teeth by removing plaque and build-up which may accumulate over time. We promote good oral hygiene habits from an early age by providing in-depth Instructions, on proper brushing and flossing techniques, and emphasize the importance of having good oral health.
Fluoride treatment is a painless and effective way to strengthen tooth enamel and prevent decay, by applying a concentrated solution to the teeth. Fluoride treatments prevent cavities from forming by re-mineralizing enamel, reversing early stages of tooth decay, and preventing recurrent decay around existing restorations.
Dental sealants are a protective resin-material coating applied to deep, cavity-prone grooves on the chewing surfaces of the upper and lower back teeth, protecting them from decay-causing bacteria found in plaque and food particles.
Fillings are a common restorative treatment used to repair decayed or fractured teeth. We restore the tooth's function and integrity by removing the decayed part of the tooth and filling it with a durable, tooth-colored material. Fillings repair cavities and fractures while preserving the natural tooth structure and appearance.
Pulpotomy involves the removal of all decay from the tooth including the infected coronal portion (top part) of the pulp, and restoring it with filling material (IRM), and a stainless steel crown (SSC). This procedure preserves the baby tooth and prevents premature loss, allowing it to maintain adequate space until it is ready to fall out naturally when the permanent tooth erupts.
Stainless Steel Crowns are restorations placed on teeth that have received a pulpotomy or have extensive damage due to decay. These crowns maintain proper spacing and function until the permanent teeth erupt.
Extractions on pediatric patients is when we gently remove problematic teeth when necessary. Necessity can arise on teeth with extensive decay, that are no longer restorable. Removal of over-retained baby teeth or premolars may be required to facilitate orthodontic treatment. Removal of loose baby teeth is sometimes needed to prevent risk of aspiration (choking). We ensure your child's comfort throughout the procedure and provide thorough aftercare guidance.
Space maintainers are custom-designed, fixed appliances that are utilized when baby teeth are lost prematurely. Space Maintainers help maintain the space of the lost baby tooth and guides the eruption path for the permanent tooth that would be taking its place.
Nitrous Oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, is a light sedation that helps your child relax and allows for a more comfortable dental experience. Nitrous Oxide Sedation is extremely safe. It is inhaled through a mask, works quickly, and the effects of the gas wear off within 5-10 minutes from the time the gas is turned off, or the mask is removed. After the procedure, your child is placed on 100% oxygen until the entire effect of the sedation has worn off.
Conscious sedation is a slightly deeper sedation than Nitrous Oxide. It is recommended for more complex procedures, or for extremely anxious patients. It involves giving the child an in-office elixir to drink, which puts the child in a deeply- relaxed, sedated state while the patient is still awake. The effects of conscious sedation can last anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. The child is thoroughly evaluated during recovery time, before dismissal. Please note, it is absolutely necessary for the patient to be NPO (nothing by mouth) for 8 hours prior to the appointment.
The Ben Air Electric Hand Piece is used in our pediatric treatments for its quiet operation and reduced vibration, making dental procedures less intimidating and more comfortable for children.
We offer Beats noise-canceling headphones to our young patients, allowing them to listen to music or watch shows during their treatment. This creates a distraction and helps to ease any dental anxiety.
iPads are available for entertainment and engagement during your child’s visit. They can watch cartoons, play games, or engage in educational activities, making their dental experience more enjoyable and relaxed.
The benefits of pediatric dental treatments include promoting good oral hygiene habits from an early age, preventing and treating cavities and gum disease, guiding proper dental development, and ensuring overall oral health. These treatments also help in instilling a positive attitude towards dental care in children.
Pediatric dental treatments address a range of issues including cavities, tooth decay, misaligned teeth, early signs of orthodontic concerns, and habits like thumb sucking. They also play a crucial role in preventive care, helping to avoid more complex dental issues in the future.
At your child's first visit, expect a friendly and welcoming environment. We’ll gently introduce them to dental care, perform a basic oral examination, and discuss oral hygiene practices. The visit is designed to be informative, comfortable, and anxiety-free for both you and your child.
